What does a Brazilian wax cost in Coon Rapids?

Bikini or Brazilian?
A bikini wax at $56 clears what a swimsuit would leave showing. A Brazilian at $66 takes everything front to back. Both are twenty-minute appointments with the same wax and the same technique — the price difference is area, not method. Say which one you want when you book, and Nicole confirms it out loud before she starts.
Face waxing, ten minutes at a time
Upper lip, chin, cheeks and sideburns are $18 each and take ten minutes. An eyebrow wax is $24. Three or more areas in one sitting is the Full Face Wax at $60 across 25 min, which comes out ahead of four singles at $72.
The full-body list is priced the same way for everyone: chest $34, back $60, low back $24. Nothing on the waxing menu is priced by gender.

How long does hair need to be before a wax?
About a quarter of an inch, which is roughly two weeks of regrowth. Wax needs something to hold; hair shorter than that gets skimmed over, the area has to be worked twice, and it is that second pass over the same skin that stings.
Shaving in between resets that clock. If you shaved four days ago, book two weeks out instead of this weekend — the appointment you wait for is the one that comes out clean in a single pass.
The twenty-four hours before
Leave the area alone. No scrubs, no acids, no dermaplaning, no tanning bed and no long afternoon in the sun. Wax lifts the surface layer of skin along with the hair, and anything that has already thinned that surface makes the lift less predictable.
Retinoids need longer than a day. Prescription tretinoin, adapalene and over-the-counter retinol all thin the outer layer of skin where they are applied, so stop using them near the area about a week ahead. Tell Nicole what you are on when you book and she will tell you how long to leave it.
Timing it around a Minnesota winter
Indoor heat runs here from October through April and it dries skin out, which shows first on legs and the backs of arms. A plain unscented moisturiser in the days leading up to an appointment leaves skin more comfortable to work on. Leave it off on the morning itself so the wax meets clean, dry skin.

What should you do after a wax?
Give it forty-eight hours. Hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, the tanning bed and chlorinated pools all wait two days. Freshly waxed skin is more reactive than usual, and heat plus friction is what turns a smooth result into a rash of small bumps on day two.
Loose clothing for the first evening helps for the same reason. Pick gentle exfoliation back up around day three — a soft cloth or a mild scrub two or three times a week is the thing that keeps ingrown hairs down between appointments, and it matters more than any product sold to fix them afterwards.
If the skin reacts
Redness for a few hours is expected, and small bumps that settle overnight are common. Cool the area, leave it be, and keep fragrance and alcohol off it for a day. Call (763) 317-6018 if something is still irritated after forty-eight hours, and see a doctor if the skin breaks.
How often to rebook
Three to four weeks. Body hair does not grow on one timetable — at any moment part of it is actively growing and part of it is resting — and waxing on a steady three-to-four-week cycle gradually brings more of it onto the same schedule, so each appointment catches more at once.
Brows run to the same rhythm. If you are tinting as well, that goes on in the same ten-minute visit.

What does a brow tint do, and how long does it last?
A brow tint is $22 and 10 min in the chair. It darkens the brow hairs you already have, including the fine pale ones at the head and tail of the brow that disappear in daylight, so the shape reads fuller and more defined without anything being drawn on.
A tint is a dye, not a tattoo: the colour coats the hair itself, so it softens over the following weeks as those hairs cycle out and is topped up at your next brow appointment.
Brow wax and tint together, $36
One row on the booking system, 10 min, $36 — $10 less than the wax at $24 and the tint at $22 booked separately. The wax sets the outline and the tint darkens what is inside it, which is why they are done in that order.
If you want a brow you do not redraw every morning
Wax and tint together is the longest-holding brow on this menu. The shape stays put for three to four weeks and the colour fades gradually across the same stretch, so one ten-minute appointment a month carries it. Fiona's Day Spa does not tattoo brows — it shapes and colours the ones you have, and every part of that is a decision you can change at the next visit.
Growing a brow out instead
Leave it alone for six to eight weeks if you are trying to recover a shape, then come in and have the outline set. Nicole takes the strays that sit outside the shape you are growing toward and leaves everything inside it. It is the slower route to a brow you like, and it is the one that does not have to be undone later.

What is a lash lift, and what does it cost?
$96 for 70 min, and it works on your own lashes. A lash lift curls them up from the base and sets them in that position, so they read longer and more open without extensions, without adhesive and without anything to fill three weeks later.
It grows out with your lashes, and there is no maintenance appointment in between. Nicole will tell you how long to keep them dry before mascara goes anywhere near them.
Booking it with something else
Seventy minutes is long enough that most people stack it. A lash lift with a brow wax and tint is $132 and eighty minutes end to end. Adding it to a 25 min Refresh Express Facial at $60 puts both on one visit — ask for them back to back when you call, because the online system books one row at a time.

When waxing is not the right day
Wax is not applied over broken skin. That covers open cuts and scratches, a cold sore, sunburn, a rash, and active eczema or psoriasis in the area being waxed. It also covers skin that has recently been treated — a chemical peel, dermaplaning, microneedling, or a laser or IPL appointment — because that skin is still resurfacing and wax would take more than the hair.
Prescription acne medication is the other one to mention. Isotretinoin in particular means waiting; ask your prescriber how long and call us with the answer. Say what you are taking and using when you book, and where there is any doubt we move the appointment.

Your first wax, booked and done
Two weeks of lead time is the only part of this that cannot be hurried. Everything else takes a phone call.
- 1 Count back two weeks Pick a date at least two weeks after your last shave or wax, so there is about a quarter of an inch for the wax to hold. Book sooner than that and the same area has to be worked twice.

- 3 Pause the retinoid Stop applying retinoids, acids and scrubs to the area about a week ahead, and stay off the tanning bed. Mention any prescription skincare or acne medication when you book.
- 4 Arrive with clean, dry skin No lotion, no oil, no self-tanner on the area that morning. Anything on the surface sits between the wax and the hair, and the wax takes the product instead.
- 5 Say what you want before the first strip Nicole confirms the shape or the amount out loud before she starts. Speak up about a sensitive spot and she slows down over it.
- 6 Give it forty-eight hours No sauna, hot tub, pool, hot yoga or sun on the area for two days. Loose clothes for the first evening, and gentle exfoliation again from about day three.
